Agile-Stage-Gate® Hybrids
- Stage Gate® is a method of cross-functional coordination.
- Agile work is best for specific tasks like optimizing a concept or optimizing a scale-up.
- Therefore, one can use Agile philosophy and tools in these stages within a product development process.
What Comes after Agile resp. Agile-Stage-Gate® Hybrids?
- In many cases the Agile approach has shortened the projects and resulted in better products:
- Especially when the market and technology is changing during the project duration.
- Agile has led to longer project durations for line-extension products.
- Stage-Gate® has products and features (components) under one project or program.
- This has created lots of ambiguities and limits.
- Let us separate projects, products and features.
