"Intro to Public Speaking: Taking Your First Step”

To encourage you to learn about public speaking; why it is relevant, what tools you can apply - and your first step, which is usually the hardest ;)

You are not sure if you should learn how to speak in front of people? You want to be more confident when speaking?

You want to learn about tools to nail your professional presentation, any other speech and to become a better communicator? Then this is for you.

What is in for me?
Motivation that you can become a great speaker; list of tools that you can use before and during the speech; a first challenge in their public speaking journey (either during the workshop, if time permits, or a specific commitment for later).

Who am I?

- Originally from Berlin (yes, really!)
- Currently working as German teacher in refugee classes

- iMBA from Tomorrow University 2026
- 6y professional experience in finance departments, business development and sales (Stuttgart, U.S., Berlin)
- Studied business administration in Tübingen (near Stuttgart) 2012-2017

Public Speaking experience:
- Member of Mercury Toastmasters Berlin e.V. since 04/2025
- President of Mercury since 07/2026 (weekly attendance with 20min on stage; club business)
- Gave ca. 15 speeches and observed 250+ speeches
- Got feedback from 100+ people on my speaking
- Started with stage fright, turned it into excitement!
