As the PMI Germany Chapter, it is important to us to warmly welcome our new members to the chapter and inform them about current developments, exciting offers, and news from the world of project management. That is why we host our monthly Welcome Hour for new members—a format for exchange, insights, and participation. At this event, our new members have the opportunity to ask questions about topics that interest them in connection with the PMI Germany Chapter community. The open dialogue in the early evening is moderated by Jörg Glunde, Vice President of Membership of PMI Germany Chapter e.V., possibly together with other volunteers from the PMI Germany Chapter.

CoP Life Sciences welcomes Mr Kamil Mroz as guest speaker. He will give his presentation ‘Agile in Drug Development’, which he already presented at the last PMI BeNeLux Summit. He will report on practical experiences with the implementation of agility in drug development.

AI as a Game Changer in Project Management - from Automation to Augmented Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is changing project management - not by replacing humans, but by enabling them to use their strengths more effectively.

In this lecture, Klaus Grothaus demonstrates in a practical manner how project work is fundamentally changing thru the use of Augmented Intelligence: Routine tasks are being automated, while human skills such as leadership, communication, and contextual understanding are gaining importance.

In January, we will kick off the new year with the launch meeting of the Community of Practice (CoP) Risk Management within the PMI Germany Chapter e.V.!

In today’s environment, shaped by constant change, risk management is more important than ever. It is essential to identify and actively manage new challenges and uncertainties at an early stage.

An active and strong risk management approach empowers project teams and organizations to master challenges confidently and ensure sustainable success.

In December 2025, we kicked off our new activity, the Collaborative Study Session. However, just as we were about to begin, the PMBOK® Guide 8th Edition was released. We therefore decided to start this year’s sessions using the new PMBOK® Guide.
Before we officially begin, we would like to take a closer look at the PMBOK® Guide – 8th Edition together and exchange our thoughts and ideas for the upcoming sessions.

With the ongoing evolution of PMI® standards and examination frameworks, new points of orientation are emerging for project managers and PMP® candidates.
Anas will provide a concise and practice-oriented overview of the most important updates and help put them into context. Their relevance for professional practice and certification will be discussed in an open exchange.

The Stammtisch Rheinland is a regular event in the Cologne-Bonn area for Project Management Professionals and Enthusiasts and for Learners preparing for their certification. We meet in a relaxed atmosphere for cross-industry exchange, personal encounters and fruitful discussions.
