In January, we will kick off the new year with the launch meeting of the Community of Practice (CoP) Risk Management within the PMI Germany Chapter e.V.!

In today’s environment, shaped by constant change, risk management is more important than ever. It is essential to identify and actively manage new challenges and uncertainties at an early stage.

An active and strong risk management approach empowers project teams and organizations to master challenges confidently and ensure sustainable success.

In December 2025, we kicked off our new activity, the Collaborative Study Session. However, just as we were about to begin, the PMBOK® Guide 8th Edition was released. We therefore decided to start this year’s sessions using the new PMBOK® Guide.
Before we officially begin, we would like to take a closer look at the PMBOK® Guide – 8th Edition together and exchange our thoughts and ideas for the upcoming sessions.

With the ongoing evolution of PMI® standards and examination frameworks, new points of orientation are emerging for project managers and PMP® candidates.
Anas will provide a concise and practice-oriented overview of the most important updates and help put them into context. Their relevance for professional practice and certification will be discussed in an open exchange.

The Stammtisch Rheinland is a regular event in the Cologne-Bonn area for Project Management Professionals and Enthusiasts and for Learners preparing for their certification. We meet in a relaxed atmosphere for cross-industry exchange, personal encounters and fruitful discussions.

Bring your topic and your ideas or send them to: alexandra.brueckner@pmi-gc.de and give impulses, hold a presentation or a workshop, in person or online, in English or German. Use the opportunity to exchange ideas and solutions to promote professionalism in project management.

Deshalb veranstalten wir monatilich unsere Willkommensstunde für neue Mitglieder – ein Format für Austausch, Einblicke und Mitgestaltung. We are launching a new session: Englisch roundtable in Stuttgart

If you are interested our very first meeting will take place in February 10th, 2026.

At this event, all members of the PMI Germany Chapter have the opportunity to ask questions on topics that interest them in connection with the PMI Germany Chapter community. The open dialog in the early evening will be moderated by Joerg Glunde, Vice President Members of the PMI Germany Chapter e.V., possibly together with other volunteers of the PMI Germany Chapter.
