The selection of coaches for the next startsocial scholarship phase is coming up. Anyone who would like to volunteer their project management experience to support social initiatives should apply now.

The assignment lasts just under four months, from November 2, 2026, to February 28, 2027. Coaches are particularly needed for initiatives in Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia.

The role offers an opportunity to support a social initiative through its next important steps and help it make tangible progress by applying project management expertise. During the previous scholarship phase, an initiative supported by PMI coaches made it into the TOP 25 and was invited to the German Federal Chancellery.

The application deadline at startsocial is September 14. To ensure that the application can be attributed to the PMI Germany Chapter, please add “from the PMI Germany Chapter” to the short description in the startsocial application.

In addition, registration in the PMI Germany Chapter VEP is required. Interested volunteers will find additional information there that will be taken into account during the coach selection process. The volunteer assignment can only be claimed as a PDU if the volunteer is registered through the VEP.
