Why Everything You Think You Know About Gen Z Is Wrong
In an era of rapid change, conflict, and exclusion, the most successful project teams are those that harness the diverse strengths of every member. Today, we have four, four! generations collaborating in the workplace. It is for us a unique opportunity to blend timeless experience with fresh perspectives. How can we, as a project management community, lead the way? How can you leverage this opportunity, rather than suffer the status quo, rather than continue the cycle?
Are your projects facing friction with Gen Z team members and deadlines, ownership, and expectations? If so, you're not alone. Many seasoned project managers find themselves struggling to bridge a generational gap that seems to widen daily. Or are you from Gen Z and facing friction with our elders? You are also not alone.
But what if the key to success lies not in forcing old methods, but in understanding a new mindset? You both come from different worlds and must understand where their perspective comes from.
The Project Management Institute (PMI) German Chapter invites you to a special event dedicated to discovery and collaboration. We will focus on how to build bridges, through people and through technology. AI amongst others, and especially AI Infinity®, can serve as a powerful bridge, blending established methodologies with innovative, tech workflows. This is a chance to move beyond stereotypes and build genuine understanding.
This interactive session is designed as an open-forum conversation. We encourage you to bring your curiosity and your questions as we explore new Ways Of Working together. This is a conversation for everyone—from seasoned PMs who have guided countless projects to success, to the next generation of leaders who are shaping the future of work. Let's come together to learn from each other and build a stronger, more inclusive project management community.
In this session, we will discover:
- Shared Goals, Diverse Paths: Explore the different ways generations approach project tasks, priorities, and problem-solving, and how these paths can lead to the same successful outcome defined in the PMBOK® Guide.
- Strategies for Synergy: Learn practical, positive strategies for intergenerational collaboration that enhance teamwork and project success, turning generational differences into a powerful asset.
- AI as the Great Connector: Discuss how AI Infinity® tools can help automate routine tasks, improve communication, and blend the generation gap, allowing all team members to focus on high-value, strategic work.
Join us for an evening of insightful dialogue and collaborative discovery.
Guiding this crucial conversation will be two exceptional panellists who bring a perfect blend of perspectives:
