Welcome to the forth PMI Roundtable in Mainz!

This meetup brings together professionals who manage, lead, and build – for an open, informal conversation about real-world challenges in project management. Whether you're a seasoned expert or just starting out, your perspective is truly valued.

Evening Topic: “Risk Management Stories from Real Projects”

Projects rarely go exactly as planned. No matter how detailed the plan, unexpected risks appear, assumptions turn out wrong, and tough decisions have to be made. These moments shape the way we approach risk management – and teach lessons that no textbook can capture.

This evening, we invite you to share your real project stories: What risks caught you off guard? What strategies worked, and what didn’t? How do you navigate uncertainty across different industries, and what lessons have you found to be universally important?

The goal is a practical exchange: learning from each other’s experiences, comparing approaches across sectors, and discovering insights that we can apply in our own projects.
If there’s a topic you’ve been wanting to explore – bring your own question. Expect a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, perfect for exchanging insights, finding like-minded peers, and leaving with fresh inspiration.

The working language of the meetup is English, to include our international network. Of course, feel free to contribute in German whenever that’s more comfortable – we value clarity over formality.

We’re excited to continue growing our local PMI community in Mainz and look forward to seeing you at our forth event!
