Chaptermeeting Cologne: Agile Leadership in the Forces

Project management in crisis situations

How can crisis situations be managed? We think: Core competencies of project management help us to act in a goal-oriented yet flexible way in critical situations. Agile methodologies in particular offer a fund of working and thinking methods that make it possible to manage complex tasks even in environments with great uncertainty.

We would like to address this topic in a series of events.

The starting point will be our chapter meeting on 11.9. in Cologne. Captain Johannes Schmidt-Thomée and Dr. Florian Andresen from the Helmut Schmidt University of the German Armed Forces will give two presentations on new agile leadership approaches in the German Armed Forces.

Digital leadership

Together with the Dresden regional group of GPM e.V., the PMI Local Group Dresden invites you to the topic

"Digital leadership. Those who already have solutions here are well advised...".

The participant is given clear terminology to sort through the contradictions of the superficially unclear terms. This is done by classifying the use of the term in the context (situational meaning of the term). In addition, the lecture also provides decision-making aids for the use of the agile methods examined.

PMI Chapter Xchange: Work Smarter Together - Project Management CoE or CoP

CX S7 E8 1

PMI Chapter Xchange Event

Working smarter together- Project Management CoE or CoP?

Collaboration allows us to know more than we are capable of knowing by ourselves." - Paul Solarz

A community always encourages the deeper exploration of ideas. While the acronym suggests CoE – Community of Experts and CoP – Community of Practitioners, both are slated to provide platforms for collaborations

Both platforms provide people with ways to organize and build on their ideas and expert knowledge.

So what is more effective CoP or CoE?

Does the nature of the project detect the effectiveness of these platforms?

Can these platforms improve the outcomes of our projects?

Finally, do we need such platforms in the world of AI?

Join project leaders and managers from across the globe for a #pmichapterXchange collaborative event of 26-way collaboration between the PMI Chapters of; Mumbai, Netherlands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Phoenix, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Gujarat, Lima Peru, Southern Alberta, Sao Paulo, Kenya, Ghana, Greece, Puget Sound, Poland, Alaska, United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Cameroon, Germany, Luxembourg, Turkiye and Madrid Spain while we explore Working smarter together- Project Management CoE or CoP?
