The new PMI Germany welcomes all members of the (former) PMI Cologne Chapter and gives you the membership for the sake of simplicity. And over 50 members have already taken advantage of this in the first 24h.
"Cologne welcome" you could say. Early on, the project group for the merger of the PMI Chapter landscape agreed to hold the door wide open for all PMI Chapter members from Cologne and to offer a free membership in the Germany Chapter. To make sure that these ideas are followed by actions, the executive board offered this to all PMI Chapter members in Cologne.
Background: The merger of the three PMI chapters Berlin, Frankfurt and Southern Germany took place without the PMI chapter from Cologne. The fact that the Cologne Chapter did not participate in the merger project had several reasons. On the other hand, it was clear from the beginning that the new Germany Chapter would claim to represent the whole of Germany and not only the territory of the three participating merger chapters.
The question of what would happen to the members of the Cologne Chapter was discussed intensively at a very early stage of the project. An automatic takeover was not possible.
The registered association in Cologne still exists. It will only no longer represent the PMI in the future.
Therefore all regular members of the PMI Chapter from Cologne will receive an e-mail from the PMI central organization these days, of which the Cologne Chapter members must also be members. In this e-mail you will find a voucher code which includes a non-transferable and free membership in the PMI Germany Chapter for the remaining term of the membership in the Cologne Chapter. Very simple.

In the first 24h after publication of this offer already 50 members joined the PMI-GC and meet in the Germany Chapter also former board members from Cologne, who actively promote and organize the "Aufbau West".
