In October 2023, PMI announced its intention to acquire the PMO Global Alliance (PMOGA – https://www.pmoga.world/) the world's largest global community of PMOs and PMO experts) as part of its continued strategic focus. The acquisition has now been completed. PMOGA is now part of the PMI Global Community. Following the course "Generative AI Overview for Project Managers", PMI is now offering the second AI course "Data Landscape of GenAI for Project Managers". The course builds on what has been learned so far and introduces advanced concepts.

From January 12 to 14, 2024, the board of the PMI Germany Chapter met in Leipzig for the annual kick-off event.
Despite the rail strike and some not insignificant obstacles, most of the board members managed to make it to Leipzig to attend the annual kick-off meeting. Those who were unable to come to Leipzig in person were able to attend virtually as far as possible.
On 22.02.2024 we plan to start with a kick-off for the CoP-Life Sciences and would be happy to welcome you to our community!

The PMI Global Summit is PMI's multi-award-winning flagship event. It was developed during the coronavirus pandemic and took place for the first time in Las Vegas in 2022 and in Atlanta in 2023. Naturally, most of the 3,700 participants in Atlanta came from the USA. In order to bring the event format to other continents, the event will be traveling as the PMI Global Summit Series in the future.
In Europe, the PMI Global Summit Series will be held in the center of Berlin from 10.04. to 11.04.2024.
As a professional association, it is important for us to pick up on topics and trends and work out what they mean for the field of project management. In the PMI Germany Chapter, we do this in so-called Communities of Practice (CoP). A CoP is a group of committed members who exchange information on practical aspects, share their experiences with each other and, if possible, also want to improve the management of projects in their respective field.
