Conquer Project Chaos
by Raquel Horta (Ireland) https://www.linkedin.com/in/raquelhorta/
Date change from 5.5.25 to 28.4.25
Project chaos is often seen as disorder or unpredictability in a project, but when viewed positively, it can be a catalyst for innovation, adaptability, and creativity. Instead of seeing chaos as a failure, it can be reframed as an opportunity for growth, problem-solving, and breakthrough moments.

Processes: Risk Management
Identifying, evaluating and managing risks is a central component of successful project management. Risks are potential events or conditions that can negatively affect the course or outcome of a project. Structured risk management makes it possible to identify risks at an early stage, make informed decisions and carry out the project safely. It helps to reduce uncertainties and ensure the success of the project.

We face new challenges in projects every day. With this CoP, we want to take a "deep dive" into a wide range of topics from the broad field of project management across all industries and develop new approaches to tackling these issues, as well as publish them in presentations and articles where appropriate.
PMI understands xMO (Execution Management Office) as a further development of the traditional PMO. While a PMO primarily manages standards, processes and reporting, the xMO focuses on the effective implementation of strategic initiatives. It actively drives transformations such as compliance, digital transformation, Industry 4.0 and cost-saving programs, promotes agile working methods and ensures that strategy and operational execution are closely interlinked. VISBO will be presenting its solution as a possible management platform for xMOs at this event. The VISBO solution consists of the 5 principles of the Execution Excellence Manifesto and the corresponding VISBO SaaS software.

This event is organized in cooperation between the PMI Germany Chapter and xuviate. Holders of PMI Certifications can claim 4 PDU.
Industrial organisations often struggle with managing complex, interdependent projects while ensuring smooth operations across multiple, often specialised teams and external stakeholders. This environment frequently results in bottlenecks, misalignment, and operational inefficiencies. Factors such as unclear roles, fragmented communication, and difficulties in coordinating intricate tasks only exacerbate these issues, which, in turn, lead to overloaded teams and projects that seem to go on forever. Many teams have attempted to address these challenges multiple times, often without success, leaving them wary that any new approach might simply be another waste of time. Because of these repeated disappointments, they struggle to envision and practise alternative ways of working. That is why we have developed a practical, hands-on simulation—built on Businessmap—that goes beyond theory and gives participants the chance to learn by doing. By actively engaging with new methods in a controlled setting, participants gain a clearer understanding of why visualising the flow of work, coordinating across teams, and systematically improving processes can make a significant difference. While this simulation does not provide instant solutions, it equips participants with the awareness and foundational insights needed to explore and apply these concepts in their own organisations. As an added benefit, it also introduces participants to Businessmap, demonstrating how this versatile platform supports a structured, visual approach to project and process management. Ultimately, the simulation bridges the gap between theory and real-world collaboration, helping industrial teams discover more effective ways of working.
