This is much more than a name change. It reflects our true mission: translating the PMI Enterprise Agility Manifesto into a pragmatic approach that helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) make better decisions, allocate resources more effectively, and respond faster to change. Project Portfolio Management is not the objective itself—it is the means to achieve Enterprise Agility.

The first major program update is confirmed: Prof. Dr. Maja Göpel will join PM Summit 2026 as a keynote speaker.

260707 Global Construction The Global Construction Project Management Conference 2026 was a great success. Speakers and participants from five continents came together virtually to discuss current developments, challenges and future perspectives in construction project management.

For the PMI Germany Chapter, it was a great pleasure to contribute to this international conference and to join forces with other PMI chapters in setting a strong example of cross-border collaboration within the PMI community.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming the way organizations manage portfolios, programs, and projects. With the publication of The Standard for Artificial Intelligence in Portfolio, Program, and Project Management, PMI has introduced its first comprehensive framework for the application of AI in project management.

Importantly, the standard goes far beyond the use of individual AI tools. It positions AI as a strategic organizational capability and addresses topics including:

260609 PM Tag On 10 July 2026, the PMI Germany Chapter and the GPM Stuttgart Regional Group will jointly host a high-profile PM Day in Stuttgart. The event will bring together project management professionals, executives, PMO leaders, agile practitioners, and change and transformation managers to discuss current developments and emerging trends in project management.

The construction and infrastructure industry is undergoing a profound transformation. Digitalization, sustainability, artificial intelligence, BIM, new contract models, and increasing project complexity are changing the way construction projects are planned, managed, and successfully delivered.

With the international virtual Global Construction Project Management Conference 2026, the PMI Germany Chapter, together with other PMI Chapters, invites participants to a professional exchange on the future of construction project management. The event will take place on June 27, 2026, from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CET. Participation is free of charge, the format is virtual, and the conference language is English.

PMI will comprehensively update the world’s leading project management certification, the PMP® (Project Management Professional), effective July 2026. The changes reflect evolving expectations of project managers, including the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence, sustainability, hybrid ways of working, and increasing project complexity.
